Mail Fulfilment & Mail Merging

If you want to advertise to multiple individuals and businesses with a leaflet, brochure, or other means, Advantage can help you achieve this. We’d mail merge all of your contacts and data, which we’d VDP (Variable Data Print) onto the required document. We’d also put the items into envelopes and organise their delivery, from standard to recorded or courier.

Pick & Pack

Training manuals aren’t the only product that you’d provide for course delegates. So why not let Advantage hold stock of some of your stationery and anything else you typically distribute at a course, and let us pack them? We’ll then deliver the items to your training facility or clients by courier. And, of course, your delivery will be fully trackable and insured.

Design Services

Getting the design right for any document, poster or leaflet is an utmost priority, as this is what will set you apart from the crowd and capture potential clients.

You may want to tweak your original artwork. You might not have the know-how to create it. Or you just don’t have the time. That’s where Advantage comes in – we offer a full design service, complete with the latest software, to bring your ideas to life. Hard copy and digital proofs are supplied.

Scanning & Scaling

If you have an old document, such as a family one that you want to preserve for future generations, Advantage’s scanning and scaling service is the answer. Get it scanned and just use the latest copy, so that the original is preserved. We can print it, store it onto an external device, or send it via email – whichever method you prefer.

  • Scanning up and down in sizes ranging from A6-A0 available.
  • Available in black and white or colour.
  • Can be saved electronically as a PDF, TIFF or JPEG.

Spiral Binding

Sometimes known as wiro or wire binding, this is a popular and cost effective print and binding method. Documents are bound like a notebook with a wire insert threaded through small holes punched in the document margin. Spiral binding allows your document to lie completely flat when open, making it particularly ideal for cookbooks or instruction manuals.

  • Covers printed in colour or black and white on 250gsm card.
  • Back cover inserted as plain white or coloured 350gsm card.
  • Clear or frosted acetate outer covers available for the front and back.
  • Pages available in colour or black and white, and single or double-sided.
  • Tabs separating sections/chapters can be inserted and printed with customised text.

Ring Binding

Ring binding is a fantastic way of presenting your documents, particularly thick ones and those with various sections and chapters.

  • Two or four ring binders available, in sizes of 16mm, 25mm, 40mm, 50mm or 65mm.
  • Available in white and other colours.
  • Includes clear sleeve on the front and spine, enabling printed cover and spine to be inserted.
  • Includes clear pocket on inside for documents.
  • Pages available in colour or black and white, and single or double-sided.
  • Tabs separating sections/chapters can be inserted and printed with customised text.

Saddle Stitching

This method of binding sees your document arranged as a booklet of opposite pages on flat sheets. It is finished by being stapled twice down the spine, and folded and trimmed. This makes the pages even when the booklet is closed – a perfect finish on the likes of brochures.

  • Square edge finish on spine available if required.
  • Page count must be in a divisible of 4, otherwise a blank page is needed and this may affect the finish you require.

Stapling

Stapling is a simple, effective way of keeping the pages of your document together. You can have a single staple in the corner or two staples down the spine. Hole punching is available at the same time if your document requires a ring binder at a later date.

Perforating

This process involves putting a line of indentations onto a sheet. It allows a document with a tear-off section to be removed easily, without damaging the remainder.

Lamination

For the ideal finish on menus, business cards and covers, opt for lamination. This enhances the look and feel, and helps protect against wear and tear.

  • Matt, gloss and soft touch laminate available.
  • Single or double-sided print.

Folding & Creasing

If you’ve chosen a thicker weight stock, normal folding will result in an unsightly fold that is untidy and likely to show up cracking. On thick stock, instead of folding, we use a process called ‘creasing’. This ensures the highest quality finish.

Encapsulation

Encapsulation covers and seals a printed sheet of paper or card with a tough, waterproof plastic film – thus leaving a plastic border and making the sheet strong and durable.

  • Matt or gloss finish
  • Available in standard sizes of A7, A6, A5, A4, A3 and A2.

Drilling

Drilling is a quick, easy option compared to hole punching, which is limited to a few sheets. Using a paper drill, on the other hand, enables us to create holes on larger sheets of paper, in greater quantities. These can then be inserted into a ring binder.

Stationery Supplies

We have a vast range of varying weight, size and colour of paper and card in stock, so whether you require a single sheet, ream or box of paper, Advantage will have it!
